Currently building. Manitoba launch 2026.

Manitoba's STEM, in one place.

CommunAT is the coordination layer that connects schools, libraries, community centers, robotics clubs, and families to the STEM programs already happening around them — instead of leaving everyone to find each other one Facebook group at a time.

The problem

The gap CommunAT closes.

Manitoba already has good STEM programming — Code Clubs in school divisions, FIRST Robotics teams, library coding nights, makerspace open hours, science fairs, summer camps. The programs exist. They just don't talk to each other.

A family in Transcona doesn't know about the robotics night at the library in Charleswood. A community center in Brandon doesn't know the school division across town has a curriculum coordinator looking for partners. A teacher running an after-school club spends weekends rebuilding lesson plans that another teacher already wrote.

No coordination layer exists in Manitoba. Every org operates inside its own silo. That's the gap.

What aggregation unlocks

  • One searchable calendar of every STEM event in the province
  • Shared resource library — curriculum, lesson plans, kit guides
  • Equipment lending across member orgs
  • Network-wide events — provincial science fairs, robotics tournaments
  • Mentorship matching across the network
